Darren loved my makeup, gave me a hug, and took my phone to take a picture of us. He is seriously the sweetest person ever, he talked to each and every person that had waited for him. It was such a pleasure to see him perform and to meet him after the show

Thanks so much for posting this and the translation, Lin! I agree. Making the effort to speak even a few words/phrases in a fan's native language is such an awesome thing for Darren to do to connect with fans.  He's such a sweetie in his sincere efforts to connect with people he meets.   

At the St. Ignatius event, he mentioned that taking 4 years of Latin in high school may seem rather archaic, but that it has really stood him well in picking up/learning new languages, especially Italian.

Lin, what is your impression of Darren's German? 
Also, what do you think of Hedwig's accent as she speaks English?  I realize that Hedwig has been in America for many years when the story takes place, but would I would be very interested to hear your thoughts.


I LOVE everything about this particular thread!  So much joy and happiness!  

Reading/watching Darren being so kind and giving to his fans gives you the warm fuzzies, doesn't it? 

And I love that Darren knows Latin and uses it in terms of speaking other languages.  So Cool!

So this happened. I won an auction to meet Darren backstage and I got to tour the actual stage omg. He is so sweet and he signed a couple of things for me, including the script (again). I told him that we Skype chatted earlier this year and I missed when he called me back but he said to not even worry about it and “live in the now.”

I got to see Darren Criss in Hedwig and the Angry Inch on Wednesday, such a wonderful experience. We all needed some positivity, and there are no words to describe how important it was to escape to a place where we can feel accepted and celebrated, even if for just a couple hours. 

Darren is absolutely the sweetest, he took time to meet us all, and we even chatted in Italian for a bit once he found out that’s where I’m from!

So I met Darren Criss (for the first time!!) at stage door on Friday after Hedwig and the Angry Inch. We waited for 2 hours because he was so busy after show but he STILL came out and treated everyone with excessive kindness and love. I brought my AVPM t-shirt to have him sign and he cracked up when he saw it He then told me a fun fact about how they wrote a lot of the songs for AVPM, AVPS, etc. at a small apartment just up the street from Pantages!

He was absolutely as sweet as he seems–even after an exhausting performance and needing to be up in 12 hours to perform again. What an indescribable pleasure. Lots of love for that one <3 <3
