And Reed Campbell, an old friend, also saw Darren in Hedwig.  I'm not sure if that is Reed's father.  Reed has known Darren since high school (St. Ignatius) and he also was in A.C.T, along with also having gone to U of Michigan.    I'm guessing Reed's family also has known Darren since Darren was young.
